MILAN ATTRACTIONS - What to See & Do
Milan is dominated by an impressive 14th century cathedral in Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo). Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper can also be seen in Milan at Convento di Santa, although the city’s glitzy boutiques are the main attraction. Indeed, Italy’s fashion capital offers some of the best shopping in Europe, if not the world.
Also head to the Castello Sforzesco - this castle is home to some good art museums. Milan also features a strong performing arts sector and is particularly renowned for its operas. And football fans will enjoy a tour of San Siro stadium - home to both Inter and AC Milan.
Lonely Planet’s list of sights and attractions in Milan provides further details on what to see and do in Milan while you are there.
Finally, if you’re in Milan for a short break and you want to use the public transport system for free and get discounts on museums and attractions, you may want to consider the MilanoCard - it only costs 10 Euros for a 3 day pass.
